The ZURILAND Family

ABOUT US
ZURILAND was born from a family with roots in different corners of Ecuador, and a deep connection to the natural world. For years, we visited Isabela Island often, until this place became a part of our lives.
Sandra Landázuri grew up in El Ángel, a small Andean town surrounded by highland plains and wildlife. From a young age, she showed a deep curiosity for plants and animals.
She studied Biology, which led her to become a volunteer, scholar, and researcher at the Charles Darwin Research Station in Galápagos. Over time, she chose to settle on Isabela Island, where she also trained as a naturalist guide.
She knows the Galápagos Islands in depth and remains deeply committed to their conservation and to supporting the local community.
Tamya Landázuri, her niece, grew up in a Kichwa community in the Amazon. Her bond with nature gave her a sensitive and respectful perspective toward the places she visits. At ZURILAND, she brings that vision along with her talent for organization and strategic structure to the project.
Jampi Landázuri, Tamya’s brother, grew up in the Amazon, surrounded by farmland and rivers. His deep connection to nature remains central to his worldview, and combined with his creativity, he contributes to the visual and technological development of ZURILAND.

We have over 20 years of experience organizing educational and personalized trips in the Galápagos Islands, with a special focus on Isabela Island. This journey has allowed us to develop deep knowledge of the environment and solid logistical expertise, working closely with guides certified by the Galápagos National Park. Thanks to this track record, we now offer responsible experiences that connect travelers with their surroundings and promote a more conscious and respectful way of exploring nature.
